The U-20 Women National Team, Falconets, will return to camp on Saturday as preparations begin for their 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup third round qualifying fixture against Democratic Republic of Congo.

Falconets’ Head Coach, Peter Dedevbo has called 30 players, most of whom were involved in the successful second round campaign against Liberia.

All 30 invited players must report at the Serob Legacy Hotel, Abuja on Saturday, 22nd August, 2015.

This third round series is the penultimate round of the qualifying series, with the winner of Falconets/DR Congo fixture to meet the winner of the clash between Zambia and South Africa for one of Africa’s two slots at the 2016 FIFA Women’s World Cup, to be staged in Papua New Guinea, 28th October – 16th November, 2016.

While Nigeria dismissed Liberia 14-1 on aggregate in the second round, the Democratic Republic of Congo eliminated Namibia 5-0 on aggregate.

The other sector of the qualifying series will see Burkina Faso take on Ethiopia, while Equatorial Guinea host Ghana’s Black Princesses.
