In the change announced at the weekend, Adesanya was directed to take over from the former Secretary Isaac Ajisafe, who has been redeployed to the Secretariat of the Federation.

Before the recent redeployment, Emmanuel Adesanya was Head of the Inter-Clubs Unit in the NFF Competitions Department, and has served as Secretary of the various national teams including the Super Eagles and the U-23 National Team. He was the Secretary of the U-23 that won the Africa’s first Olympic football gold medal in Atlanta, USA in 1996.
