The Nationwide League One (NLO), over the weekend made another giant stride in its quest to develop the nation’s lower-tier football.
The Patron of NLO, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah invited the Management of the NLO to London to attend a business meeting on how to open more opportunities for NLO.
The meeting which was held in Hilton Hotel, Parklane London, was attended by the Chairman of NLO, Alhaji Ahmed Kawu, the Executive Secretary, Olushola Ogunnowo, the Patron, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Chukwuma Ubah (chairman, FCIC), Mr Deji Holloway and Gbenga Shonubi (a UK-based facilitator).
Also in the meeting were Managing Director of West Ham United FC, Angus Kinnear and Peter Stephenson, OBE.
The team also met with the owners of West Ham Football Club and other stakeholders on Saturday.
NLO chairman, Ahmed Kawu told nigerianationwideleague.com from London that Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah (NLO Patron) is doing everything possible to see that the NLO matches its contemporaries all over the globe in all aspects of its operations which also includes financial autonomy.
It will be recalled that a fortnight ago, the NLO unveiled Dr. Ubah as its patron.
