The Nigeria Football Federation has concluded all arrangements with a specialist hospital in Doha, Qatar for the treatment of injured Flying Eagles’ striker Obinna Nwobodo.
Nwobodo, who travelled out of Abuja on Wednesday aboard an Emirates Airline flight, to connect to Doha in Dubai on Thursday morning, will spend a minimum of six weeks at the Asepetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, Doha undergoing treatment for anterior cruciate ligament tear.
The energetic forward was injured in the second half of the final match of the 2015 African Youth Championship, in which Nigeria pipped hosts Senegal 1-0 in Dakar on March 22.
The injury forced the player to miss the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where the Flying Eagles were eliminated by Germany in the Round of 16.
