The Nigeria Football Federation has empaneled a new Normalization Committee to conduct elections into the Anambra State Football Association.
Chairman of the Abia State Football Association, Sir Ephraim Chukwuemeka, will head the Normalization Committee, with Barrister Chike Anyaso and Prince Maurice Mbani the other members. Barrister Joshua Onoja, NFF Legal Officer, will serve as secretary.
It can be recalled that the NFF last week threw out the Normalization Committee put in place in April, following intractable crisis in the Anambra State Football Association. The committee had requested for a second extension within one month.
According to a letter signed by Tunde Aderibigbe, secretary of the States Elections Monitoring Committee, on behalf of the NFF General Secretary, the three –man Normalization Committee has been mandated to conduct elections into the Anambra FA Executive Committee within one month.
The letter also instructed the secretary of the Anambra State FA to “hand over all matters, documents and information relating to the activities of the former Committee to Barrister Joshua Onoja from the Nigeria Football Federation to enable the Normalization Committee to take off smoothly and without hindrance.”
