Flying Eagles arrived San Juan city late Monday evening amidst delayed flight from Buenos Aires.
The flight itinerary was scheduled for 9am local time but the team couldn’t leave Bueno Aires till after 6pm local time.
Players, officials and NFF leader of delegation, Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa touched down at the San Juan Airport aboard chartered domestic flight after several hours of waiting and were instantly moved to Del Bono Hotel in the metro area of the city.
No detailed information was given for the flight delay but a member of the Local Organizing Committee has described the incident as regrettable.
The Flying Eagle are scheduled to train on Tuesday evening ahead of the round of 16 tie against Colombia host nation, Argentina.
The two times U20 world cup finalist will battle Argentina on Wednesday evening at the San Juan City Stadium.
